Welcome Fall

The journey has begin. The walk to relaxing and sewing is approaching. I find that I have less stress during this time of the year because of the coziness that my home feels like. I’ve started gathering fabric during the summer to make pajamas and although my upstairs is warm its nothing like wearing a warm lounge wear around the house as it “piddle” around. First up is Simplicity pattern 8803. I am using 100% Polyester fabric (Charmeuse) for the pant and shirt pattern. I’ve also planned to sew a robe in a similar fabric without a print and I will be using the McCall’s 8056 pattern for construction. I’m looking forward to finishing this project before it gets cold and that is only because I will be making a few flannel bottoms to mill around in on the weekends. I’ve decided to use McCall’s pattern 7875 for the construction with a small addition of in -seam pockets.

Keep an eye out for the finished garments.
